The portrait process
Portraits are created through a slow, intentional process designed to allow space for presence, observation, and meaning.
1. Inquiry & conversation
We begin with an initial inquiry and conversation to discuss intention, references, and what you hope the portrait will hold.
2. Live session
An in-person session focused on conversation, observation, gesture, and reference photography.
3. Studio creation
I work privately in the studio for approximately 2–4 weeks to develop the final piece.
4. Reveal
A thoughtful unveiling of the completed portrait, with options for prints or framing if desired.
