Portraits & Commemoration

Interpretive portraiture, legacy portraits, obituary design, and tribute works — created slowly, with care, using techniques that emphasize repetition, attention, and presence.

A detailed pencil drawing of a woman's face, with her right eye covered by her hand, surrounded by bubbles and foam-like texture on a black background.

"Portraiture, for me,
is an act of witnessing."

I am interested in how people hold themselves, how emotion lives in the body, and how identity shifts across time and experience. My work allows space for complexity — moments of intensity, tenderness, grief, or transformation — while maintaining a strong sense of recognition.

These portraits are created slowly, with care, using techniques that emphasize repetition, attention, and presence. The focus is not perfection, but honesty.

  • Embodied Portraits — presence, posture, and emotional truth

  • Inner State Studies — expressive, symbolic, emotionally complex work

  • Legacy Portraits — honoring a life, past or present

  • Obituary & memorial design — programs, booklets, tribute materials

  • Commissioned portraits for families, institutions, and estates
