PERSONAL ART · LEGACY & TRIBUTE WORK
Portraits & Commemoration
Interpretive portraiture, legacy portraits, obituary design, and tribute works — created slowly, with care, using techniques that emphasize repetition, attention, and presence.
"Portraiture, for me,
is an act of witnessing."
I am interested in how people hold themselves, how emotion lives in the body, and how identity shifts across time and experience. My work allows space for complexity — moments of intensity, tenderness, grief, or transformation — while maintaining a strong sense of recognition.
These portraits are created slowly, with care, using techniques that emphasize repetition, attention, and presence. The focus is not perfection, but honesty.
Embodied Portraits — presence, posture, and emotional truth
Inner State Studies — expressive, symbolic, emotionally complex work
Legacy Portraits — honoring a life, past or present

Commissioned portraits for families, institutions, and estates

Work in Progress
THE PORTRAIT PROCESS
1 · Inquiry & conversation
We begin with a conversation to discuss intention, references, and what you hope the portrait will hold
2 · Live session
An in-person session focused on conversation, observation, gesture, and reference photography.
3 · Studio creation
I work privately in the studio for approximately 6 - 12 weeks to develop the final piece.
4 · Reveal
A thoughtful unveiling of the completed portrait, with options for prints or framing if desired.
