MEMORIAL & TRIBUTE DESIGN
Programs, tribute magazines, and legacy books, designed with care.
When someone you love dies, the last thing you should have to do is fight with a template. I design memorial programs, tribute magazines, and hardcover legacy books that hold a person the way their family remembers them: their face, their words, their people, their life.
I've spent years designing long-form print for companies like Siemens and Oakstone. I bring the same attention to your loved ones tribute book that I bring to an executive publication, with something those projects never ask for: tenderness.
TIMING
Two timelines, one standard of care.
Right now
For the service
Programs delivered print-ready within 48–72 hours of receiving your photos and text. Same-day rush is available when the service is sooner.
After
For the months and years that follow
Tribute magazines and legacy books, created over weeks and delivered for the moments that come later: the 30-day mark, the first birthday without them, the one-year anniversary, the reunion where everyone gets a copy.
You don't have to decide everything this week. Many families order a program now and return for the book when they're ready.
01 · THE PROGRAM
For the service itself
A 4- to 8-page folded or booklet-style program: cover portrait, order of service, obituary, family acknowledgments, and a closing image or scripture.
Print-ready PDF sized for standard printing, or I can coordinate printing for you
Light photo cleanup included
One round of revisions
WHAT I OFFER
Three formats, one for each season of grief.

48-72 hours

02 · THE TRIBUTE MAGAZINE
For the first month
A 16- to 32-page magazine-style publication: a cover portrait, a written life story, photo essays across the decades, letters and reflections from family and friends, favorite recipes, sayings, songs, and the small details that made them who they were.
Designed for saddle-stitch or lay-flat printing, in quantities for the whole family
Guided interview and written life story available
Two rounds of revisions
TURNAROUND
2-3 weeks
INVESTMENT

03 · THE LEGACY BOOK
For the years ahead
A hardcover, archival book of 40 or more pages. This is the piece that gets pulled off the shelf at holidays and handed to grandchildren. It holds everything a tribute magazine does, plus family trees, documents and handwriting, a full photographic archive, and space for reflections written over time.
Hardcover with printed or cloth cover options
Archival paper and binding, with paper and cover samples before press
Three rounds of revisions
TURNAROUND
6-8 weeks
INVESTMENT
Starting at
$2,800
ADD-ON FOR ANY FORMAT
The Legacy Portrait
A hand-drawn stipple portrait, created dot by dot from your photographs, used as the cover or opening page of your program, magazine, or book. The original drawing is yours to frame.
Portraits take 6–12 weeks in the studio. For programs on a short timeline, I design the program now and deliver the portrait afterward as a framed piece.
HOW IT WORKS
1 · Reach out
Tell me who this is for and when you need it. If you're planning a service, I reply within 24 hours, often sooner.
2 · Gather
I send a short, gentle checklist. Send things as they come. You don't have to have it all together.
3 · Design
Programs: a first proof within 24–48 hours. Magazines and books: a design direction first, then full spreads.
4 · Refine
We adjust until it feels right. Revisions are included in every format.
5 · Deliver
Print-ready files, or finished printed pieces if I'm coordinating printing.
You send what you have. I'll take it from there.
Something to prepare before you write.
This is only so you know what's coming.
Their full name, dates, and the service date if there is one
Photographs, as many as you have, in whatever condition
The obituary, or notes and memories if it isn't written yet
Order of service, if there is one
Names for acknowledgments
Three words that describe them
Anything they loved: a color, a flower, a hymn, a place, a phrase they always said
Before you reach out.
-
If I have your photos and text, 48–72 hours to a print-ready file. If the service is sooner than that, ask. I'll tell you honestly whether I can do it
-
Yes. I work with a trusted Atlanta printer and can deliver finished pieces to you or the funeral home. If you'd rather use your own printer, I'll prepare the files to their specifications.
-
No. Light restoration is included. Heavier restoration is available for an additional fee.
-
Yes. For magazines and books I send a simple link for family and friends to submit stories and photos directly.
-
That's common. Order the program now if you need it, and reach out about the book whenever you're ready. There's no deadline.
-
No. The same formats work for milestone birthdays, retirements, anniversaries, and family reunions. Tell me the occasion.
